Objective:

This skills programme equips learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to medical emergencies. Learners will be able to perform immediate, basic life-saving interventions and provide support until professional medical help arrives.

Outcomes:

Recipients of this qualification will be able to:

    • Conduct primary and secondary assessments of affected persons.
    • Identify and treat life-threatening conditions requiring immediate first aid care. Recognise additional injuries/illnesses and apply appropriate basic first aid.
    • Provide CPR, stop bleeding, manage shock, choking, burns, fractures, sprains, heat stress, poisoning, and bites/stings.
